Wink A fabric box for a crazy cat lady!

I thought I'd see what all the fuss was about so I made a super-sized one for my kitties. The sides don't seem to hold up that well, but they love it anyway! Any ideas on that, BTW?

A cat box!!! lol I read that someone had used plastic needlework mesh (don't know the correct name) to stiffen their box. Maybe find a box that is about the same size and drape the ends over the edges so you can still see some of the design? Cute idea!

I wonder if you could make one to fit inside an actual box or a new kitty litter pan? Sew the buttons on the flaps but instead of sewing them to the fabric, use elastic loops to go under the pan and onto to button on the other side and do the same with the flaps on the ends.

Kitties like to cuddle into things so I wouldn't worry that the sides flop a little.

If you want to stiffen it up a bit, perhaps investigate the different battings that are used for purses/totes to help stiffen, but still keep some flexibility to them.

Another possibility might be to make the sides a little deeper, and that would help kitty stay inside the walls!

Looks like both have tested it ... and are enjoying their new cuddle box!
deeper sides and/or

I think you are talking about plastic canvas. That would help. BrendaK
