A few weeks ago I told a story about a woman who said her mother had passed away, and she used to belong to our quilt guild. They wanted to sell her 1,000+ yards of fabric to the guild members for $1 a yard.

Today they had the sale, and this is what I got. Plus some sewing machine needles and a little wall hanging pattern. This is about 21 yards of fabric. It is great stuff. All the guild members who went were really excited. These ladies were just wonderful and sweet. I know their mom will be happy to know how all her stash is used by everyone.

Wow $1.00 a yard. Can't beat that. It's good to see the material go to people who have will a good use for it.

That was nice of the family to sell it so reasonably. Great fabric.

What a wonderfully thoughtful way of honoring their Moms love of quilting! When you cuddle up in your future quilt, you'll also be warmed by fond memories of your friend.

Wow!!! Some great stuff! Love that butterfly piece, and some good off white pieces. It was a good way for the family to see her choices were appreciated and wanted.

Cant wait to see what you do with them.

Those are beautiful fabrics. And what a buy. It's wonderful they offered it to quilters that will love it as much as their mom did.
