I am so excited to get this done. I know it is not a real "quilt quilt". But I did do quilting on the quilt and the pillow. Straight lines only, but hey, I am learning. I worked on the actual sewing for about four days, the planning took longer. My daughter sent me the fabric and pattern and had a few ideas as to where the fabrics should go, but otherwise I was on my own. It was fun and I loved doing it. The fabric is the new Alice in Wonderland collection with a few others thrown in.

This is from Simplicity # 3795, and I did everything except the canopy. Might do that later if we think we need it.

I sure hope my daughter likes it and I got all the colors right. That is my biggest fear. I nearly wore the fabric out switching it around before I cut it out.

The colors are kinda washed out in the pictures. From the flash I think. The greens are greener and the yellows are brighter. Not shown are the two sheets I also made. Those are yellow.

The whole set, sorry about the yucky background.

Very cute! I'm sure your daughter will love it! With that Alice In Wonderland fabric, I don't think there's any right or wrong way. The characters face every which way. You did a great job.

Thanks so much. This is for my first grand daughter. I have three grandsons, so this little girl will be spoiled.

I think I would have preferred pink, but not my choice. There are so many cute new fabrics out there now, but she fell in love with Alice. And it is cute. I bought some of the focus fabric myself to do something with, but not sure what that will be yet. The pictures on it are so pretty and much bigger then what was used in the quilt. Any ideas?

I am also in charge of the cradle set, so that will be pink. My daughter said it was my choice. So I already have a simple pink and white tropical. I was thinking that the bumpers will be that with a white eyelet, maybe a even an eyelet lace around the top. I don't have to make a quilt for that, but I may anyway. Just need to figure out what else to go with the pink tropical. The cradle will be all over the house, so it does not need to match the nursery necessarily.

Well, thanks again, I am so happy to have it all done. Now time to clean up the sewing room and get on to the next project. I need to make a cart cover thing for my grandson. I also have a pattern for a bunch of super cute bibs to make for him. So many projects and so little time. Or maybe that should be sew many projects and sew little time. LOL

What a beautiful set. I love the colors of this, they are so bright and cheery. I have two boys so haven't gotten the opportunity to do any pink stuff. Maybe someday I will have a granddaughter as well.
