Believe it, California has some spectacular Fall scenery too and I don't mean wildfires. We went for a week up Highway 395 which is a National Scenic Byway. I hesitate to share these pictures because all of you might come here and the peace of very few people is a wonderful thing.[img]

Quilt in the visitor center at Lone Pine.

A little of the fall color can be seen at Lake Sabrina above Bishop at about 8000 feet.

Mt. Whitney at 14,497 feet is the highest peak in the lower 48 states.

What a beautiful world we all live in. Wouldn't it be nice to have everyone send a picture from the area where they live or have visited. :-) We would be armchair travelers, quilting as we go :D

Beautiful :!: Sunrises and sunsets are some of the prettiest times of the day. And when there are clouds added too they are more than wonderful. A clear blue sky with a few puffy clouds are too. We just have a beautiful world. :D A bare tree against the skyline is awsome too.
