Default Family quilt for 90th birthday

My mil is having her 90th birthday this July... I finally finished her gift... She has 12 living children and a set of twins that died... so I made 13 baskets... each a different fabric, then my border is the grandchildren each tile matches the parents fabric on their basket and I put them in order... 37... and embroidered names.. The back is a block made by each family that includes the grandkids and inlaws names in whatever manner they wanted to use... I had to make 2 quilts because the I didn't want the quilting for the top to ruin the blocks on the back... made a false back for top and machine quilted , then tied the back just through the batting layer... Glad it is done... hope she likes it...

Oh my, that is a treasure and a half! And to have had the whole family involved is truly amazing. Great job. Here's to many more healthy years!

That is a very beautiful basket quilt. One I would love to receive and I know she will love it also. The second quilt is very cute too. How could she not like it? A very memorable occasion and hopefully she will have it for many more years to come.
