I got some great fabric recently while on a goodwill trip with my mom. Two packages of fabric, one for $4 and one for $5 yielded 44 fat quarters and 5 one yard cuts!!!!! Three were Connecting Threads kits(still had patterns included), and most were grouped and folded together as if they were for a specific project. I always wonder who got rid of them and why, and really wish I knew what the projects were. Now I have to find projects for them........

10 Hoffman brights-really fun

i don't recognize the connecting threads fabric at all.

What a haul!!

Makes you wonder if someone made a boo-boo and put them in the wrong bag to donate!!

I'll be checking out the goodwills more often also!!

Wow. Great find. I think things like this are from quilters who've passed away and the family has to get rid of lots of "stuff". I don't think most people would consider fabric or notions "heirlooms" so they're donated (or thrown away:
