Hi Everyone.

My 11 yr old granddaughter loves purple and black. I saw this flannel fabric and just couldn't resist. I just finished making her this tie blanket for Christmas. She's an Aries, and my son is in the Navy (her dad), he's brought her fans from Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Guam, and other countries he visited. I thought this would be appropriate.

Beautiful quilt..

(BTW, you do not look old enough from your pic to have an 11 year old GD.. )

Thank you, I almost kept it the fabric for me. However, I have plenty of projects to do!

Thank you. I am most humbled. I've been told (by her) that I am "a cool grandma because I'm not old and boring like her friend's grandmas" I wonder what age is "old" to her. I hope that at 96 years old, she won't be expecting me to jog around the block!

LOL I am "new" to all this sewing stuff, but yes I did make it from flannel. I made another one with penguins for my 8 yr old granddaughter.

I'm not sure what I'm really doing, but I know it's alot of fun!!!
