Talking Fast Baby Quilt for my great nephew

The free pattern I used is called: Speedy Baby 2 from School Girl Samplers by Deslynn Mecham. There is a pdf of the pattern you can download.

This pattern goes together faster if you use the 5" pre-cut charm squares. I cut my squares from fat quarters. The large center square of 16.5" is perfect for a fat quarter print you want to show off or to embroider a design or monogram. The true colors did not show up in my photos. I like the generous size of 45 x 45. I chose Polyester batting vs. cotton so the quilt dries faster and I liked the higher loft of the poly. I did straight line quilting. Thanks for taking a look.

Delightful little quilt, and a nice size for Mom and baby to use for quite a while.

Awe, it is adorable. Looks like she loves it, and I'm sure he will too! Great size, they don't stay little for long!
