Default faux log cabin top FINISHED

On Sunday, the 23 of February, I posted pictures of a WALLPAPER fabric and how I cut it into 8 inch squares, cut 2 of them into 2 triangles, and then by flipping them, got a faux log cabin block.
This is a picture of the wallpaper fabric.

This next picture shows how I cut and rearranged them to come up with the log cabin block.

So on Sunday, I sat at my machine, and sewed. Too cold up here in ND to go outside and I got all 40 of the blocks sewn together. I laid them out on the floor and found some border fabric in my stash and put it all together. And this is what I came up with. I sure would not hesitate to pick up fabric like that again. It was a quick top to put together.

Now the issue is what color of border do I put on it to finish it off? I have a picture with a dark blue, which in reality, I didn't care for, but in the picture it looks great. Then I took a picture of a dark green, which in reality I liked, but in the picture I don't. I have a problem

    Here is the green border

Enough already, time to get back to the sewing room. Thanks for looking and any and all comments are welcome.

I love your quilt and your fore sight to imagine what this would like before hand...I am going to keep this in the back of brain, so if I see something like this I'll buy it...

Beautiful fabric. Using this pattern is out of the box for me and I love it! I think a double border would look great....maybe a thin green followed by the blue. Anyway you go it will be beautiful!

It sure came out beautifully! Now I know what to do with similar fabrics. As for the border I like the blue but a thin rusty color and then the blue might be a nice compliment.

I like the blue. Brings up the colors in the wallpaper fabric! Wonderful pattern and fabric!

Wow, you really did justice to that fabric, a Ginny Beyer from way back in about 1985, I think. Wonderful

I agree. I was thinking the color or your roses.
