Oriental Quilt with Sashiko

Fussy cut the Geisha Girls and put into Attic Windows. Cut holes in the red stripe and appliqued fussy cut scenes. Did Sashiko stitches in the borders, tied with coins and beads. The centre was machine quilted.

Beautiful quilt. Having lived in the Orient a lot when my DH was stationed there a few times I learned to love anything oriental. I love your kitty who has claimed that quilt.

Gorgeous job on the sashiko style quilting of the bamboo stalks. I had some of that geisha fabric that I used in my oriental circle quilt. I wish I could get my hands on some more of it in that red color way. I found it in teal but it wasn't near as beautiful in that color. You did a great job on your quilt and your kitty thinks it is a model in a photo shoot. LOL
