I'm hoping it's okay to post this type of project here, even though it's not actually a quilt. I did buy the pattern and wool from a vendor at the NW Quilt Expo and it is applique . . . . :-)

Just finished the last one today. Yeeesh, not much time to spare. I've looked for 5 years for a pattern I love and finally found this and it fit the bill perfectly. The pattern only included 3 of the stockings so I had to design the 4th and hope it's not too obvious which one wasn't a part of the original group. I'm loving them all and hope you enjoy too!

Those are absolutely gorgeous!!! I love to do wool applique and you did an awesome job!

I would never have been able to guess which one you made up to go along with the rest---I honestly thought they were a group of 4!!! Great job!!

I wish i had this idea long before now. When i got the stockings out of storage I was so upset a mouse chewed them up!! This year I won't have time to make new ones, but I am going to think of yours for next year.
Everyone is going to be disappointed, but, oh well.
They are so pretty!!

Thanks everyone. This was my first felted wool project and I definitely will do more. I hope to incorporate some as applique in future quilts. My DH and little boys all like the stockings and have each chosen their favorites. :D It's always so nice to make something that makes others smile!

They are just lovely and I can't tell which one you designed either so I think you should brag a bit and tell us which one! ;)
