I found this quilt in a garage sale for $10. Can someone help me figure out how to make it? I have a friend who has a wonderful scotty dog. This would be a perfect 'manly' nap quilt for him. Thanks, Gwyn

Cute quilt. I see you have a pattern already so maybe we'll see a quilt real soon :) :)

Hi gwen,
Press a block on the quilt very well and lie it down on a flat surface. Place it under some tracing paper and outline each piece in the block carefully as you can. (the whole block all together) Once that is done and you have a rough draft. Now, take some gridded paper and do the same thing, only make a clean pattern from it, square up each piece so that it looks like the dog. Take a copy on your copier and then cut it apart, add a quarter inch seam line to each piece all the way around. Label each piece with a-z for your placement guide. There you have it. Templets for the doggie.
