While visiting all those Amish/Menonite farms in Lancaster area (for DH's work), I got to visit a couple of antique shops and of course fabric shops. The fabric shops I visited were: Weaver's of Lititz (love that town!!!) and Verna's of Mifflinburg, both were very organized. Sauders in Denver had lots of fabric but I felt it wasn't quite as organized. Prices in all 3 shops were excellent. Paid between $4–$6 per yard for fabric I've seen selling in NH for $8.95–$10.95.

Then while antiquing I bought a 1930s Singer FW travel iron ($12), that folds up and fits snugly into my FW case (slides right down into the slot by the bed). It was in perfect condition, but didn't have packaging (see pics). What you see on the iron in pic is reflections, not rust. Temp settings for different fabrics. (see pic)

Without my knowledge my DH bought me a toy Singer SM from the turn of the century. SM works, just doesn't have the clamp to hold it secure to table. (see pic)

Those are great. Love the iron and the sewing machine. They make a nice pair.

That little sewing machine looks in pristine condition - I'd love one.

Are you sure the SM is a toy? I love it. Beautiful fabrics too.
