Default What's for Christmas and holiday gift giving?

Okay all ye quilters....what are we making for holiday gifts this year? "We" meaning, I need some ideas! And since we're one day from September, there's hope that I could get several gifts made by December!!!

I've been making some checkbook covers for a craft show that's coming up. My experience has been that there are more lookers than buyers. If they don't sell, they'll be Christmas gifts for the gals in my family. I plan to make some coupon carriers, too. And wristlet/cosmetic bags. My gals will probably have their choice for Christmas.

My mom made those ornaments decades ago! They're lovely!
I don't make any gifts, we don't do Christmas gifts anymore. I just might make a small gift for my MIL, that's all.

I made an executive decision. Am no longer making quilted gifts for my friends for both their birthdays and Christmas. Too much work and maybe I'm over-gifting. Hope to finish the birthday gifts this year and then start on a queen size irish chain for our bed instead. Might pick up the knitting needles again instead.

Easy shopping bags, nook & kindle covers, coasters (you can put the stem of a wine glass in between the four squares so when you pick up the glass, the coaster comes with it)

I use leftover charms 5" sq

Don't have a picture of this cuz my ornaments are currently in the attic - but last year i made yo-yo Christmas tree ornaments. Started with 7 circles of various green fabric scrpas - about 5 1/2 inches down to 1" - made the yo-yo's - then because i had a jar of seed beads, glued them here and there around each circle for "lights"....bought a string of silver star shaped "beads" at JoAnn - not too expensive - ran knotted embroider floss through the circles, through the star on top, and put a knotted loop for hanging. Left enough floss give that i could spread the yo-yo's kind of flat and fit the "gift" inside a card. Everyone said they really liked them....and i could pretty much finish at least one every evening. Hope i've expained sufficiently !!
