Default Finally finished my First Quilt! Second one close behind! Woo Hoo!!

I have always sewn clothing and all the kids and gkids are too grown up for Grammie's stuff so I have turned to quilts as a creative outlet. My brain is always thinking about the next quilt top!

This Dutch Doll pattern was passed down from my Grandmother to my Mother, and then to me. I made it for my youngest (and last) Granddaughter. Her name is Isabel, and I named the quilt "Izzy's Dolls". I learned what I don't want to do on other quilts from this one.. ha!

The Dresden Plate quilt is called "Heather's Violets". It's for my youngest daughter, Heather. I may send this one out for professional quilting, on the fence about it now though.

I haven't posted much on here but I want to tell ALL of you that you keep me inspired. Looking at the day's pictures is what I do every night before bedtime. The last few years have been the hardest of my life and this place is my safe haven. The kindness and creativity of all of you here is remarkable and I wanted to thank you.

Now if I can just upload my pictures....

Your quilts are lovely. You picked complicated patterns for first quilts and you did a great job.
