We have been married for almost 32 years. I really did not have much time for quilting until I retired 4 years ago, but hubby had this quilt top that his mother had hand pieced sometime before she passed away in the mid 1950's. I had just put it away and forgot about it. Last year I got it out and finally got it completed for his Christmas gift.. The fabrics in this quilt are really much different than what we see today. I cannot imagine hand piecing all of this, but I'm sure there are others on this list that may do this type of quilting all the time.

What a precious gift for him that you finished her quilt. Did he like it? Remember any of the fabrics? Love to know his response.

So pretty!

That is awsome. I have a quilt that belonged to my mother-in-law. Older ones are amazing.
