Default My Christmas gift finally has a home

My dear children gave me a barn quilt for Christmas... they made it themselves. I have wanted one for ever. They are very popular in rural Iowa. It is finally nice enough here in Iowa that my hubby put it up yesterday.

Looks so pretty.

Here in Nebraska they haven't caught on yet. I have the wood cut for mine and am waiting for nicer weather to paint outside. I think mine will be a star of some sort.

Very nice and you picked a great spot to put it on. Every time you look at the bird feeder, you can see your quilt block design.

It is beautiful! What good kids you have. Looks really good an your barn. I always look for them when we travel. They are popular around the Pennyrile area of Kentucky.

That is very pretty! My friend has a barn and she quilts. However, she has no desire at this point in time to put one up. I want one for her. I know though that it's not my barn.

What thoughtful children you have and they did such a good job! You see barn quilts here in Ohio, too.

OMG! What a picture!!! I love the barn quilt, I'm sure you are thrilled. I love the photo - it is so beautiful, inspiring and calm. Perhaps its time for me to return to Iowa for a visit
