This one has been in progress for oh maybe 2 years cuz the kid it's for will be or just turned a year old. It was too big to quilt on my machine so I did it by hand. I was inspired by a quilt made by Nancy Halvorsen in her Art to Heart Book called Winsome Baby. I saw the book in my lqs but didn't buy it. I made this one from memory and altered it. I obviously used different dimensions, added circle applique and made it more "wonky" then Nancy's perfect rectangles. I hand drew the name using freezer paper for my stencils and then appliqued it onto the center block. So yeah on to washing it to see if it'll hold up!!!

This is a piece of art almost worthy of framing!!! :) You did such a great job, I am sure the little boy will love it for a long time coming.

That is one totally awesome quilt! I am impressed that you did it without a pattern. Brayden is one really lucky little guy!
