Default Finally it's done

This is a quilt that I have had on the frame for 2 months or better. It belongs to a very old and dear friend. She and her husband have been working on this quilt for 15 years, embroidering the flowers and birds. The embroidery is flawless and she wants to show this in the county fair. It took me almost a month to figure out how to quilt it because I wanted to showcase the embroidery. I did a stipple in the blocks around each motif and then leaves on the sashing. The inner border I did piano keys but they are not all the same distance apart. The outer border is swags. I'm pleased with the results and I sure hope the judges are too. I used Omni Palm Tree in the top and Bottom Line Green in the bobbin for the sashing and borders, and Essential Pro Natural in the blocks. The batting is Dream Green Recycled Poly Batting made from recycled plastic bottles. It quilts up wonderfully. Thanks for looking.

Your time thinking was well spent, this is lovely. You both should be very proud, I'm sure it'll do well!
