    Default One Section Done

I've jumped off (probably way over my head) and am making a king sized quilt for our bed using Marti Mitchell's Quilting in Sections technique. It's the first large piece I have ever done and first time using FMQ with swirls on my DSM. This is the first section I've quilted and, boy, did I learn a lot today. I've practiced a bit using smaller squares of quilt sandwich but this was so much different. I'm so thankful for all of you ladies here who have imparted so much of your knowledge to fledgling quilters like myself. I learned so many things to avoid by using the good time tested techniques that y'all talk about. I probably would have never had the nerve to try this without all of you and I know I wouldn't have gotten a very good result with my try-it-and-hope-for-the-best techniques that I would use if I was on my own. So here is my result of today's efforts.

Looks like it will be a wonderful quilt when it is all done. Love the colors you have chosen.
