A girl I am friends with - who actually was a big part of my recent job change (that I love!) is having her baby any day now. This is her second - she is having a girl and naming her Ava.

I whipped this out on Friday and a bit yesterday - finishing the binding this am. I am normally not a very fast quitler so I am very happy I actually got this done.

It is just one big panal on the front and the A on the back is of course for Ava. It was the first time I used the paper template so I was a bit nervous as to how it would turn out.

For only my 4th quilt I am pretty happy with it. This is only the 2nd quilt I have given a way - I almost want to keep it :)

Very cute! I need to do a baby quilt for a baby due in January--you've inspired me!

oh that quilt looks so warm & comfy & squishy. I love that you made it in a fabric and style that will grow with her - she can take this one to college! know what I mean? It's just lovely.
