Cool Finally!!!!

I thought the day would never come but my 8 year old GD is definitely going to be a quilter if Grammy has anything to say about it!! Here she is with her first quilt top, she did all the sewing on it ( I cut and pressed) and tomorrow we layer and quilt it by machine. She picked out the fabrics and would not let me cross cut it into stripes and sew. She wanted it just the way it is. My only mistake was letting her sew with my Bernina 830. Now she wants one!!!!!! The first picture is of her sewing and the second of the completed top for her American girl doll named Kit! I am one happy Grammy!!!

Wow She did a wonderful job!! Everything is so straight and square! I think she's a natural born quilter! Congrats Gram, you may have just created a monster! Quilting monster that is!!

She did a nice job! I had the same problem -- started the grandkids on the 830 and really spoiled them!

Wonderful job!! It's a beautiful quilt! I am always so glad to see new quilters learning to sew. It is a life skill that she will enjoy forever and the time with Grandma is priceless!
