I wanted to share my 3rd quit with you. I made it for my moms 78th birthday. I didn't grow up with quilts, so this is something new for my mom. I hope my mom uses it and doesn't save it like most of her decent stuff.

The quilt top is made from my scraps plus a jelly-roll and a few fat quarters. It was fun to make. It measures 80X64. I really like the neutral gray back with the colorful top.

I did one like this one for a granddaughter. But I am saving it to give to her on Christmas. I am doing other quilts for some of the other grandchildren too.
I agree with you it was fun to make it.

What a beautiful quilt! Your mother will treasure it.

I know what you mean but putting it back and not using it. My Mama would do the same thing. I would ask her, "Are you saving it for a rainy day?" LOL When she passed away, I found sheets, blankets, etc that she had never opened. Just used what she had.
