Did the easiness of using the ruler cancel out the inconvenience of having to buy more fabric?

I saw a demonstration a few months ago in a LQS and it seemed easy... is it?
It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. There were some trying times but it was when I was being impatient. You do need a lot of patience with this quilt.

That is a wonderful pattern. I love the black, white and red color theme. Look like you did a great job. Thanks for sharing.
