The lite fabric really makes them stand out nice.

Unbelievable! How cute is this?

Layout 4x6 or 6x4 or you might make one more bear under his quilt block and have a 5x5 layout?

I am partial to the brown for sashing but the blue is a second. It does make it a "boy" quilt then though. All of them are wonderful options. The wild side of me loves the orange fabric.

Too cute! I like them with sashing, and I vote for the brown.

5 x5 is not so good as the blocks are longer than wide. What I am not sure about is how to mix the colors. Always girl/boy/girlbear, but what about the colors of the blocks?

thank you all so much for the feedback. I would have gone without sashing but I think you are right and I also tend to the dark brown one. Its the same "wood" print as the bedframes and could go for the floor.........and then the blue with the stars for the night sky!?

Oh - absolutely adorable!

How about an attic window? Use a dark brown for the horizontal rows, a medium brown for the vertical rows, and a half square triangle (with the dark brown on the bottom left and the medium brown for the top right) for the cornerstones.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about only going to the left instead of the right:
