This is a quilt the couple of ladies I taught to quilt in Vanuatu and I started-we hand-dyed most of the fabric and cut it out. It sat in the box for a few years, unfinished, after one of the dear ladies suddenly passed away-I decided to finally finish it myself and named it after her-"remembering Violet". It is hand-quilted. I will take it back to Vanuatu with me next month and use it to raise funds for either our animal shelter, which I helped to create, or our ambulance charity, which I have done numerous fund-raisers over the years for.

Thanks-I'm sure she is-she was such a special person and of both ladies I taught, she was the MOST appreciative and enthusiastic! I taught them for 6 weeks in a row-Sundays from 9:00 am-5:00-and didn't charge anything.

Beautiful fabrics. Your quilting is wonderful, too.
