Ok, quick back story, my dad worked for a company for years. The colors were black and orange. He always jokes that he bleeds orange. The company was bought out and the color changed to blue. He still says he bleeds orange. My husband (Who works for the same company) rags him about bleeding blue all the time. The blue on there is a joke. The 4 blue squares are actually part of the uniform that I cut up.

Now for the quilting...I am having major issues with the FMQ thing on my machine. It had me in tears yesterday for hours. I managed to get it done, but it was NOT fun and took me about 4 hours longer than normal and it's fairly sloppy.

I ended up using orange for the top and black on the bottom but you can see that the tension was off. If I tightened it ANY, I had major problems. So this'll just look funny on the bottom, but I doubt he notices honestly.

This is my 4th quilt..one of these day's I'll get it done and be happy with the end result.

Nice quilt with an interesting back. You worked thru your problems, and it's a success!! Your dad will love it!! And if this is any indication, you have many fine quilts ahead of you :)
