finished rail fence comforter
#1
I finished this yesterday but was too tired to take a picture of it so I did that this morning. It's in the wash now. I also made the pillow sham, though it doesn't match perfectly, it still works.
I pieced the top a while ago and stored that while I was waiting for my backing and batting to arrive. The back is a tye dye fleece with the inner border being the same thing and the batting being fatt batt. I "birthed" the quilt and tied it with the ties on the back because we have 2 cats who, I know, will have a feild day with the ties. The pillow sham has an old pillow case inside it so that I can get the pillow in it with out it sticking to the fleece.
Please excuse the messy floor and the not matching flannel pillow that never leaves my bed as it was made from my grandfather's last remaining flannel shirt that I wore the sleeves out of.
Oh, and this is my winter comforter so I can hopefully knock the blanket count down from 10 this year...although dad says its going to be colder this year so maybe not!

I don't know if you can see the ties as I picked a purple that matched the back pretty well
