Default Finished the top and FMQ'ing

I am on vacation..YAH...a woman at work is filling in for me so I am making her a wall quilt. The fabric is left over furniture fabric and perfect for using as a wall quilt. I just need to put on the binding. not sure if I should use brown or something with color. I think regular cotton would be easier to than the furniture fabric for the binding. Thanks for looking.

Love those subtle leaf prints. Since they're upholstery fabric how about sewing cording to the edge, then machine stitch-in-the-ditch on the front close to the cording using a zipper foot? Either enclosed cording or one of the fancy types sold for trimming pillows.

Love that idea...I have never used cording before. Need to see if I can find a video on how to do it.

I wish I would have seen this video on cording before I sewed the edge of my wall hanging. Great video! http://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A2KLqIWIIvZPDyoAKwv7w8QF;_ylu=X3oDMTBrc3VyamVwBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDdmlkBHZ0aWQD?p=how+to+sew+on+pillow+cording&vid=76D70135F0F6FF47CAD276D70135F0F6FF47CAD2&l=5%3A13&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts1.mm.bing.net%2Fvideos%2Fthumbnail.aspx%3Fq%3D4618404736598152%26id%3D662e41c2e236d814426b0a9a1212c15d%26bid%3D0spH%252f%252fbwNQHXdg%26bn%3DLargeThumb%26url%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252fwww.youtube.com%252fwatch%253fv%253d8mEjrKS4uEs&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D8mEjrKS4uEs&tit=The+Dreaded+Twist+Cord&c=22&sigr=11a31ab5u&b=31

Very nice. We do not often see wall hangings or quilts with circles, so it is very refreshing. Wonderful job.
