Default Finished Union Jacks Quilt

This is a Christmas present for my daughter who has been living in England for the past 9 years. She worked really hard to get British citizenship, so she is now a dual citizen of the U.S. and G. B. I wanted fun Union Jacks (think Austin Powers!) and spent months collecting just the right fabrics. I prewashed my cotton batting to minimize the shrinking/crinkling effect when the quilt is first washed. I like crinkle, but not where there is so much decorative stitching as it tends to obscure it. I STID all the flags, and did decorative FMQ in the sashings. I drew up my own pattern, tho there is a Union Jack pattern available somewhere online.

So here is the result...

Wow wow WOW!!!! That is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! It looks like it must have been fun to make! Your daughter will LOVE and cherish it!!
