I posted this when I first started but couldn't find the post, but here it is; it's a paper pieced Judy Niemeyer pattern.

Thanks everyone, the wall hanging in the pattern was square but I wanted just the middle part. I had a local quilter(who's very good at what she does) do the quilting because I'm not that experienced. She said because of all the seams on paper-pieced objects they are more challenging. The extra thickness causes the needle to jump. I'm not real happy with the color she chose to quilt with but it looks good on the front but not as good on the back. She tried a couple of colors before she settled on gray. I was thinking a varigrated thread would have been pretty with the backing being black. It will be on the wall so the back won't be showing.

it will be awesome hanging on a wall! i don't do paper piecing, because it frustrates me...applaud you!

I did a lap quilt, that was supposed to be square also and i left it octagon.
