This is my first 2 completed projects of the year. I actually made a list of the projects I wanted to do this year and it came to 23!! That doesn’t even include Easter outfits for the three kiddos.

The first picture is a Mei Tai carrier for a gal at church that is having a baby in just a few weeks. The second one is a QAYG string quilt for another friend that is due in March. Thank goodness for Ditter’s FABULOUS tutorial (thanks Ditter) that I attached the link for. She made hers with a diamond pattern, but I thought it was a little overpowering for a smaller, baby quilt, so I made it into zig-zags. I used free knit material from my Mom for the back and some purchased flannel and receiving blankets for the front.

I very much like the string QAYG quilt. How did you bind the blocks together?

Love the Mei Tai. I've made my daughter several of them. She loves to use them. They are SO expensive to buy. I also love the QAYG. Both projects are beautiful---You are off to a great start this year.
