    Default First Applique Class Project

This is what we did in the first applique class I took several years ago.

I apologize that I do not remember the teacher's name - I do remember that she was excellent - and that we learned a lot!

I also remember that she told us to wash our fabrics first - and the Moda Marble yellow had a LOT of excess dye in it - and interestingly/surprisingly enough - the other colors did NOT color the water.

Such a beautiful start and so precise! I only applique if I really have to. I am getting more confident though. Practice makes perfect. I can't imagine how much more you have accomplished since the class.

You did lovelly work. I also like applique but I need a better set of reading glasses before I can get back to it Aging eyes make detailed work difficult. Did you make that block only or do you have enough for a quilt?

You can certainly applique! I took a class & tried really hard, but did nothing close to perfection like yours, way to go!

Very pretty! So is it going to have many more blocks to make a quilt or a single block for a pillow?
