Well, I'm a convert. Have had the pattern for quite some time, finally decided to try it. Overall happy with the results, did notice the contrast is a little crooked on one side. Used decorator weight for the bottom panels, which I like. I also added a magnetic clasp to the main bag lining, and a piece of hook and loop on the pocket. Probably a gift for a "chosen sister" who will give me feedback for future changes.

Front of bag. Next one will be straighter!

beautiful! i know that fabric, from hobby lobby. i have been eyeing it for awhile. love how you used it. :)

You pegged that one right! LOL. Our store still has it too. I have a fondness for floral co ordinates. Plus the stripe went with it too. Had the lining in my stash, almost matches.

Very pretty. I agree with the solid color for the lining, it does make things easier to see.
