I made this for my husband's birthday - the pictures are embroidered and they are pictures of our 4 animals we currently own. The backing is small animal footprints. The binding isn't so hot, but it is my first try. I am working on a quilt that should be done shortly and will post that whenever it is finished.

What a wonderful gift. You should be proud of what you created, because you did a great job. Your hubby is a lucky man.

I love this. What a way to honor the family members. Did you digitize the pictures yourself? I think it would be great to get software to digitize but don't even know where to start.

I downloaded pics from the internet and found dogs that looked like mine (also the cat). The colors were tricky since I didn't have all the threads they wanted. I must say, I probably have 25 hours into this job with thread breaking, trying to download, credit card problems, not liking how it came out etc etc. I think I got a little grayer after this project!!! Thanks for the compliments. By the way, I don't have digitizing software, but eventually I might like to get some - it is pretty interesting.

How cute! I think you did a great job with the binding especially since it was your first time. :)
