Default First Log Cabin quilt finished

I started this project on Friday afternoon and just finished it. This is the first log cabin pattern I have made and I did the entire thing with scrap fabric. The closest fabric store is 100 miles away so I had to make due with what I had. I'm very pleased with it, however! I used a walking foot for the first time on this quilt. My husband liked the fabrics and the pattern so much he wants me to make a kig sized quilt. Yeah right. Can you imagine how many 1 inch strips would be needed?

beautiful...but if you made two inch strips it would take only half as long!

I tried to tell him that, but he really likes the small strips. When I do a larger quilt, I will use wider strips! It was a pain working with 1 inch strips!

The fabrics do work together sooooooooooooo nicely. Now for your husband, why not go up to 2" strips, you will be amazed how quickly they will go.
