    Thanks to all the information you have in your posts, I learned a lot and was able to make this mat for putting large hot dishes on. It was made from scraps I have had for years with the exception of 2 layers of Insul-Brite.
    I was especially happy to learn how to square up the material that has the pictures printed on them. I did not realize that fabric was out of square when I got it and was disappointed when I got home. Stuffed it in my stash and pulled it out to practice FMQ around the edges. Then read some posts on how to square it up...and it worked! :)
    Hopefully if my first posting of pictures goes well, you will be able to see how out of square the fabric was in the 2nd picture.
