Okay - I've worked up the courage to post a picture of quilt I recently finished. This was machine pieced and hand quilted. One of the things I learned on this quilt is that it's not good for the eyes to focus on color opposites like bright pink / bright green for long periods of time. When I looked away from the hand quilting, I'd see squares! (The colors in person are brighter than in the pic! By the way, that's my oldest son holding the quilt. LOL

Renee

I call it Springtime - cause that was when it started.

I'm so glad you posted, because that is one fantastic Springtime quilt! That's exactly what is conjured up in my mind when I see it. It's so pretty!!! You must've enjoyed making it. Are you keeping it for yourself, or is it a gift?

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I've learned so much from all the quilters on this board!

It seems like it took me forever. I was afraid I'd wear out the quilt dragging it around to hand quilt. This was the first big quilt I made, so it's staying in my house. When I get better at quilting, my family will start to get gifts.

Renee, it's beautiful! I love the colors and it just screams spring and sunshine and flowers coming up! My 4 year old would absolutely fall in love with it! I just love hand quilting! It is so relaxing and rewarding to see it finished! Good job and please share more!
