First quilt ever (plus another of the same pattern)
#1
My first pattern was a recommended easy quick one, even though it took me days to make, as I was sooo sllooowww in sewing it. It was fun, anyway, and I'm obviously hooked.
I had it LA quilted with coffee cups, as I'm a coffee lover to the max.
The next one is the same pattern, but I made more recently. My husband asked me to make him a quilt he could take underway (he's a submariner) a week before he was to leave. I did it... I finished the binding about an hour before I had to drop him off.
Really easy pattern, great for beginners... really fun to make!

You did a great job! This addiction will overtake your life...and its so much FUN! What started as a "learning experiment" for me has turned into my own sewing room/studio and a passion.

Another Turning Twenty (posted the first one here http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-34280-2.htm ), a batik for our bed, slowly collecting scraps for a scrappy triple irish chain, finishing up an applique quilt I did, working on my son's dinosaur applique quilt (posted a couple days ago)... uh...
I guess having mutiple projects makes me a full blown quilter now, huh? ;)

Cute!
Great job!
Just make sure when you get that quilt back off the boat, you wash it 2 times and use TONS of fabric softener. For some reason, boat smell gets into it and doesn't want to let loose. I've found that Snuggle with Fabreeze (I think that's the one) works great!

Thanks!
Yeah, boat smell is just one of my *most favorite* smells ever (gag)... I hate trying to get that smell out of everything. Downy's Spice Blossom Dare seems to do the trick, and it smells sooo delicious. He was pretty proud of his new quilt last patrol :)
