I needed a baby gift for my boyfriend's sister and decided to make a quilt. little did i know it would turn into a new addiction. I made this in February of this year and am now on baby quilt #3! Did i mention that I used a school ruler and a magnetic scrapbook mat to cut out the pieces? I have since purchased a good cutting mat, ruler and rotary cutter. :) I really am surprised that it turned out as square as it did.

I use chalk all the time to mark my straight lines, just the regular old cheap school chalk!

I love how the white stars wink on the blue squares -- random, like a real sky!
Welcome to the addiction!

I have since purchased actual quilting pens, pencils etc and to be honest I think the chalk works better! :) i'm going to keep using it.
