Default First Quilt Top after my 'finger caught by rotary cutter' incident :)

I feel like this quilt top is to prove to me that I wasn't going to cut myself again... I sure picked a pattern with a lot of cuts.. I was so slow and careful with the cutting and made certain that I had a brand new sharp, blade. This is one of 4 Christmas quilts I'll be making for folks this year.. another like this, a Bethlehem star and a Rudolf Twister.. With luck and a few sharp blades they'll all be ready for the frame by next week..

Enjoy & Merry Christmas!
Kim

Those cutters will slice deep before you realize what happened. I'm going to order me a butchers glove before I cut next. I certainly don't want anymore of the cut to the bones myself.

Lovely quilt. Sounds like your plate is pretty full from now to Christmas.

I know exactly how you feel. I sliced off the side of my left hand forefinger from just above the knuckle to the tip of my finger. I was lucky in that I missed the nail. I was really, really nervous when I was finally able to quilt again. As you can imagine I am very careful when cutting. I also use a cutting glove from Fons and Porter. Well, after all that I need to say your quilts is great. I know they will be appreciated.
