The other day I was looking at my kitchen floor and I thought , that would make an interesting qult block. So I got out a piece of scrap and made a block. I liked the way it turned out, but where in the world could I use it? :| It could be something like a "yellow brick road" I guess............

I like it. Can we see a pic of the kitchen floor for comparison?

    I love that fabric.

I can relate. When I did bead work I was always inspired by different tapestry and upholstery.

Can't you turn the scanner upside on the floor? LMBO.

And I thought I was the only one that looked at floors for inspiration for a quilt. We recently went on a cruise & I just HAD to take pics of the floor in the Atrium. I have a long list of quilts to make, but someday I want to make one like the floor on the Carnival Freedom ship. My DH thought I was crazy & kept saying what if someone sees you taking pics of the floor, what do they have a patent on it,lol! Now if I can just find the pics!!

I see I'm not alone. Floors, chairs, ppl's shirts. With a camera phone i can take pic's without anyone noticing, then send it to my email.

My bathroom floor has an interesting design...I often think of adapting it into blocks just to satisfy my curiosity!
