The machine is wonderful but my hands are not...I have to take a lot of breaks. They cramp up quickly. I heard that gloves may help. Wish I had a pair to try.

I found I can use my arms..that is working really well..I just lay my arms on on the fabric and move it along...Half done...its going very quickly...need to change the bobbin so taking a break...I wish I could have a long arm but it takes up to much room so this is good for me.

What a great set up. And the gloves will help. I have a pair of Fons and Porters gloves and a number of gardening gloves(they work just a well for me and are cheaper ). My hands would hurt so bad after quilting and these helped.

Carol-

If you've not checked her out, look up Leah Day.
http://www.daystyledesigns.com/faq.htm

She has incredibly helpful videos AND she's also a newer Horizon owner.

Happy quilting :)
ps...love the music fabric

I have the Fons and Porter machine quilting gloves and I loooove them! They are only about $4..watch if they go on sale or if you can use coupons from Joanns :) I can't FMQ without them anymore!

Nice setup for your quilting. Looks like a pretty quilt. Have fun and be sure to show us the finished quilt.
