Folded Log Cabin Block
#1
I purchased the booklet at our local Quilt Guild Quilt Show (Rio Grande Valley) and learned to make these. Harder than I thought.
Purchased at the "Second Hand Rose Sale" and paid a quarter....lol

I used scaps to make these, not really intending to make a quilt, just make the block.

When folding and ironing the pleats, the ends must be tucked into the other sides.

used a bread knife to make the pleats straight

Iron on tape to keep pleats in place

Then you sew pleats down.

Well, isn't that interesting! I believe you that it might be just as hard to do that pleating correctly and evenly as it is to sew a log cabin block.
But it does make me think about how a pleated block might fit in other places!
