I have been organzing my stash this morning and my fingers and wrists are getting sore. I use stick pins to hold my fabric together after wrapping around a fabric board to display on my bookshelves. The pins must be dull from using over and over because it is getting harder and harder to push through the fabric. So I went looking in DH office for something that might work to hold the fabric together. I came across these plastic paper clip like things (I guess that's what they are, seen them before but never used them) and thought they would be perfect to hold the fabric together. I tried them and they work great! Holds together beautifully! No hard pushing or sticking through layers of fabric and usually the board too. Another great quilt related find and this one from the stationary store. And, I'm thinking I can find them at the dollar store!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I use the post it flags for little notes. These are to remind me that this fabric hasn't yet been washed.

My LQS uses something similar. They are metal and a bit longer, but basically the same design.

Are those like a different style of "binder clip"...the kind you use to hold thick papers together? I will have to look next time I go to Office Depot. Haven't seen them at my Dollar General.

I have glued one of these clips to the top of my machines with E6000 glue. I use it for a thread guide for using cone thread off of the thread stand. They work so good and it has been on my machine for about 5 years.
