Found yesterday in thrift store
Paid all of $11. for it. The batting is the old batting with the seeds in it so its really lumpy. I bought it for some of the vintage fabric in it but now that I see it laid out I am not so sure I want to dismantle it. Some seams split and split fabric in the back. Sewn together with big stitches but to me that is part of its charm.
There are 2 big squares of fabric on it and while I was picking it up from the floor I realize they are patches that someone put on to cover where the block had fallen apart. The patches are all pilled so I may take them off to see what all is underneath.

If I lay any fabric or quilt on the floor he is on it. Its funny. I was sorting fabric and he slept on a pile that included the top half of old jeans, some canvas and a piece of lace. He has a bed with his own quilt in my sewing room silly old dog.
I did pull part of the patch loose and it looks like there was a brown fabric that disintegrated along the outside edge of the log cabin.
