The backing fabric is the same one that I used to make the binding. It is a wideback.
As for the quilting I used my walking foot - 3.5 stitch length - and just sewed down both sides of each row 1/4" in from the seams.

Very Pretty Scrappy Quilt.
If you don't mind... I am bookmarking for future reference and may make one (maybe a little smaller) and call it Busy Fingers scrappy quilt because without your inspiration, I don't think my scrappy would be this beautiful.
