This was laying in A box with free marked on the box . Is all dirty and stained( looks like rust but not sure) but was just to darn cute to leave lay. It need a home badly. ITS IN THE WASHER NOw getting its bath.

It was good of you to rescue it! It looks old and probably took someone a lot of time and care to make. I hope it washes up nicely.

I have picked up many stained pieces like this, bring home and wash. I cut off the hand done section and put it in the middle of a square of crazy quilt pieces, makes a wonderful quilt and reminds you some lady probably spent hours working on this.

Just watched a program on create tv where she had a vintage dress ans said she uses bleach for the colors and just soaks

that is what I did along with washing soda.Looks the biggest part of them came out . -- I just know some mom spent lots time making it and it made me feel bad to see it.
