Default Free Pattern...had to try it!

I found this free pattern in an advertisement in the March-April Quiltmaker magazine and had to try it. I did modify it by adding the additional blue border around the bottom along with extra stars. I machine quilted it and hand quilted the small stars in the center along with a star quilted in the middle of each. I started it in January on my 1950 Singer 301a and finished it today. I learned a lot, just like I do on every quilt. Oh, yes, I didn't go out and buy a single piece of fabric. All of the fabric including the backing was from my stash. Hey great quilters, I am learning from all of you.

I really like it! Your extra border really finished it well. I'll have to search for the pattern now.

l like that a lot. Real Americana. How great that you were able to "shop" in your stash for all the fabric. Way to go.
