I'm up in New Hampshire visiting the in-laws, including my 8-year-old niece (in-law), Ella. Ella got very interested in the quilt project I'd brought with me. (Very portable, and a six- or seven-year-old UFO.) One reason why it's a UFO is because I get really bored choosing the colors to put together (trying not to make any one jewel box "square" the same as a another). Turns out, that's what Ella wanted most to do. So she placed pieces, and I sewed them together. I may actually get this dang thing done thanks to her help!

Looks like you two are having fun and have a good plan. I see a future quilter here. Enjoy your visit.

Love the color you are using. It is nice to have a quilt helper.

I guess that quilt now has a recipient and a reason to get finished!

I'm jealous. You have a beautiful helper and company while you sew. Love the quilt too.
